Sony trying to go head to head with Microsoft's Xbox 360, will be launching a movie and music download service with HDTV capabilities for PlayStation 3. This move comes after Microsoft launched a similar service for its Xbox 360 earlier.
With this new service Sony is hoping to push its console among competition. With Nintendo leading this race, Sony needs all the help it can get.

it's a nice gesture haha but I think its clear that 360 and Wii are tops. people don't seem to think much of PS3
